Student employees are eligible to Workers’ Compensation benefits if they are injured as a result of their employment or if they develop a job-related illness.

If a student reports any work-related injury or illness to you:

1. Call Workers’ Compensation ASAP is the student needs medical treatment: 805 893 4440
2. Create a claim by completing an Employee’s First Report (EFR) –> tutorial here
3. Complete Employer Investigation –> tutorial here
4. In Employer Investigation, set a date to complete the “Prevention Actions” –> tutorial here
