Pay increase

Each student is eligible to receive one 25 cents increase through the year, by going from one step to another. The Supervisor group created some requirements to meet before receiving an increase:

  • The budget of the entity can support the increase and,
  • The student has been working in AS over 6 months or one year since last pay increase and,
  • The student worked a minimum of 200 hours and,
  • A written performance evaluation has been done by the supervisor showing that the student meets the expectations.

Exception regarding those requirements will have to be justified and approved by the AS HR team.

A pay increase can be requested using the Google form “A.S. Student Staff Pay Increase Request”.

This form will be submitted to the HR & Payroll Analyst who will review and process the increase. Increases are effective at the beginning of the biweekly pay period following the one when the request occurred.
